I made my reservation for the Hidden Fortress premiere! Yay! A chance of seeing Jun and his new movie, hopefully...
I also made reservation for the on campus admitted student reception, which is also on April 27. *feeling so lucky* I had to use the reception to persuade my parents and strengthen my reason of going. It'll be a long day at USC if I really get to go.
Lol, I better bring my fatty calc book and AP books along to study. Don't want to fail any major exams cuz of fangirling. >_<
Air tickets (roundtrip) to LA is about $160, pretty affordable, I guess.
Now I hope that I'll get a confirmation email saying that there's a seat for me at the premiere. If anyone who've made a reservation got a definite confirmation, please tell me. I want to know how big of a chance I have. Thank you in advance. ^-^
I first read it from Iroiro's post. I totally screamed when I saw this. Thank you so much for this news. It totally made my (birth)day!
Ok, so, I'll explain why I put so many "!" in the title of this post. How many are there? Like 20, maybe? *trying to calm myself down before I launch into my explanation*
Oh, by the way. Here's the official page to the event.
Jun is going to LA for the premiere of Kakushi Toride / Hidden Fortress! This is already a really big news to me. I missed my chance of going to Las Vegas to see him film Hanadan. And now, he's coming back to the US! Does that mean the movie is going to be shown in the US? Another chance of me seeing Jun! At least it's closer this time. I live in Nor Cal, which is closer to LA than to LV.
But this is not it. Not the full reason why I put all those exclamation points there in the title.
I was there at the Eileen Norris Cinema Theatre just 5 days ago! I was standing in front of it during my college visit / campus tour at USC!! I remember it cuz of the waterfall thing in front of the theater.
So, will I be going back to USC to see Jun or...?
I doubt I'll have the chance of going there. Unless USC has some special even that I must attend...Ok, I'll make this clearer. I got accepted and USC is the college that I plan on attending. I made this decision before I heard of the premiere event, so Jun has nothing to do with me choosing which college I go to! I'll revisit USC in June for a freshman orientation, and in August, I'll be moving in.
Where's the lil card that USC sent me with all those orientation dates? *trying to find it* Is there one on April 27, so I have a real excuse of going there? Also, one thing that I saw on the card -- orientation in Hong Kong! Wow, does it mean that many people in HK are interested in going go USC? (I was born in HK and have lived there for 10 yrs) Well, that's a good thing. It's much easier for me to make new friends at college if there's a lot students from HK.
Now I'm actually excited about going to college.
During the campus tour, the guide points out that USC is strong in business and film. I'm going to study business, and the guide is currently majoring in theater. And what she said is totally true! The college got Jun to come, how can it be any better? USC students often get to see new movies that haven't been shown in theaters yet, lucky them. Well, I'll soon be one too, I guess. ^-^ Why can't I go to college a year earlier so right now I'll be there already...
Oh, just another little thing that I thought of.
If Jun's visiting USC, that means very likely, there'll be USC students getting Jun-baited! Lol. That means there's going to be a boom of Arashi fans at USC! Maybe a fan club or something will be formed before I become a freshman there. I'll so join it when I get there!
Lol, I'm still too excited over this news. Before, I was kinda indifferent about college, but now I actually want to go. I'm so glad I made my decision, well, I haven't committed yet, but still...At first, I chose USC cuz it's the best college that I got into, although not my 1st or 2nd choice. Actually, I didn't even rank USC in my own college choices...it's a very good private college anyways, though much more expensive than UCs...
Since USC got Jun visiting and premiering his new movie there, I'm definitely coming! Fight on, Trojans!
Sorry for sounding over-excited. I'm usually not like this. ^^;
Should I try asking for my parents to let me go? I can use the excuse of going to the open-campus day for admitted freshmen ^^, which I found out is exactly on 4/27! But my math final is 3 days after that, and then I have AP tests in early to mid-May...T_T
But what are the chances of me getting a seat there, even if I try reservation...
Okay, before I start talking about Jun, I'll just have to post about something else first. ^^
Today is my birthday! Yay! I'm 18 now!
I just spent most of my day in my room (sounds very depressing). It's the last day of spring break, so tomorrow, maybe I'll get something nice, hehe.
I got a slice of Godiva chocolate cheesecake, which is my favorite desert! I'll eat it after dinner. ^^
Sho Beat ended on my birthday...T_T Why...? I like listening to Sho Beat. Please ignore the scandal which I find ridiculous and offer Sho a new show. Onegai~
Sho's solo Hip Hop Boogie is awesome! I like it a lot. I can't wait to listen to the whole song. He played the whole song. It was just that he was talking over it.
Sho also played his remix of Where Is The Love. I really like the original cuz it conveys a good message. I just ♥ Sho's version and his style of singing it. I wish he played the whole thing though. Also, it seems like Sho's English pronunciation has improved a lot, just by listening to the English part of the song. I heard that Sho's learning English and his teacher/tutor (?) is about the same age as he is, so they become good friends. That's probably why Sho's Englishhas gotten better. He's just so hardworking, always finding time to learn amid all the other things that he has to do.
Today, I also watched the latest episode of GRA. It was so funny! Jun's magic, lol. Nino's monomane of himself (when he sees convenient goods) is hilarious. The best part, of course, is Sho's dance! Sorry, Riida, I couldn't understand your conversation with that ojisan, but you were really cute. Aiba, why didn't you participate? It'd be so much fun.
I saw the lil preview of VS Arashi at the end of GRA. It does look like Tokyo Friend Park with all the games/challenges. It looks really fun. I can't wait for it, and I guess I'll miss GRA too.
I saw the previews for Tokyo Friend Park and Himitsu no Arashi-chan as well. TFP is only a few more hours away. Too bad school resumes tomorrow, so I can't stay up from 2-4am to watch it. I'll just have to wait for somebody to upload. The quality of Keyhole TV is kinda sucky anyways...And Sho said some miracle happened at TFP...maybe...?
Somebody went to Disneyworld to film Himitsu no Arashi-chan!? They even had Mickey Mouse do the "Shhhh!" pose! I really want to watch it to see what's that all about.
What else is there to talk about before I talk about Jun...? Hmmm... *thinking*
Nino cut his hair! I want to see his new hairstyle! ^-^
Ok, I don't want to make this post too long. So, I'll just post another one after this. Lol, I'm totally procrastinating on my reading, again.
This is a non-Arashi related post.
Well, the new camera isn't really mine. It's more like my bother's but I get to use it if I want to (with his permission, I guess). I'm new to photography, so my photos aren't really good. I'm starting to really like taking pictures.
The pretty sakura in my backyard.
This one is my favorite. Although the lighting isn't very good, but it's still so pretty~
Some more flower pics.
I really like this one. This one is my absolute favorite. It beats the sakura one.
Some pics of my backyard and pool, and a sakura floating on water. The first pic is too bright...the sakura on water ones look kinda fake...
This post only has little bits about Arashi...they're more toward the end.
During spring break, I went to LA and San Diego with my family for college visits.
After a 6-hour-or-so drive from SF, the first place that we stopped at LA is
Now, this is really interesting. The night before the trip, I googled Little Tokyo and thought that it wasn't worth the time to go with my family. So, I just kept quiet even though I actually kinda wanted to go, especially I heard that the HYD cast went there for filming (sorry, correct me if I'm wrong
). In other words, my dad just drove us there without my influence. I was sleeping in the car, and I woke up and asked where we were, and my brother said, :"Japan Town in LA." I was like, "WHAAAT?"
Then, in a very soft voice, "...but I didn't even ask to come..."
I went there at night, so the pic is really dark and unclear. It's supposed to be a Japanese-styled tower.
We went into a Japanese supermarket to buy some snacks and drinks. I saw Lemon C1000 water (the one Arashi is promoting) but not the new Shava Dava drink. I ended up buying a big bottle of milk tea cuz I love it so much! My brother bought takoyaki-flavored "chips" which were actually little crunchy balls. Actually, I brought my box of Tongari Corn (bought 3 boxes in HK during Christmas and brought them back to the US. Tongari Corn is like my all-time favorite snack since I was a little girl. So, I was really surprised and happy to see Arashi's CMs for it. XD) for this road trip, but I ended up not opening the box, still...I bet Japanese supermarkets here in the US have Tongari Corn for sell too, so I don't have to bring them back from HK next time.
I just have to go to one of then to see...
Here's a pic of the takoyaki-flavored snacks. I finished eating it while typing this post.
Oh, by the way, at the supermarket in Little Tokyo, I saw a magazine with a big Yamapi close-up on the cover. That's the only magazine that I saw had a Johnny's on the cover...
At Little Tokyo, we met up with some friends who also came down from SF and we had dinner there.
I also looked up Kinokuniya's addresses in LA the night before the trip. I planned to go to the one in Costa Mesa cuz I'd be visiting Irvine, which is only like 5 miles away from it. I didn't realize that the one in Downtown LA is the one in Little Tokyo. Well, I had no idea that we'd go to Little Tokyo when I looked up the addresses online...now I really regretted not paying a visit to Kinokuniya in Downtown LA/Little Tokyo.

The next day we went to LA's famous and popular Pink's Hot Dog place.
Look at all those people lining up!
It's the 2nd time we've been there. This time it took us 1 hr to stand in line to buy our hot dogs! We ordered 5: Mulholland Drive and Planet Hollywood (very similar, both have bacon, cheese, sausage, mushroom), Lord of the Rings (onion rings), Rosie's Long Island, and swiss cheese+mushroom.
The Qoo drink (orange-flavored) (the left orange bottle in the first pic) was the drink that my brother bought at the supermarket in Little Tokyo. It was one of my favorite drinks when I lived in HK. The one next to it in the pic is mine. It's mango-flavored with small "mango jello". It tasted exactly like the one that I had when I visited HK during Christmas. The left pic is the Lord of the Rings hotdog.
We went to Hilton LA/Universal City for a dinner buffer with more friends.
I had this as one of my desserts: (I love desserts!)

I honestly don't remember the last time I had cotton candy before this one. The cotton candy is so fluffly and pretty, and really big...I couldn't really finish it, and I teared out small pieces and dumped them in my cup of water. It was really fun watching the cotton candy just go "poof" at the moment it touched the water. I also felt really bad for wasting food...
The dinner buffet was really good. After that, we all went to City Walk in Universal City.
Here's a pic of the giant guitar outside Hard Rock Cafe there. The pic quality is really bad cuz it was nighttime and I was using my cell phone's camera.
My cell phone went out of batteries during my college visits. So, I'm not going to post any pics of the college that I'm going to. I wish I got into the one that's much closer home. But after all, the one that I'm going to is a really good (private) college too, so I guess it's ok...except it's much more expensive than UCs...
I keep on telling myself this cuz I was kinda disappointed: the college is known for the major that I'm taking. I heard that it has a very strong alumni base associated with that major, so in the future, I can get a good job fairly easily (I hope). Those big companies like to hire alumni/undergraduates. Plus, I heard that a lot of ppl from HK go to that college too. Plus, that college is in downtown LA, unlike many of the UCs that are in the middle of nowhere (or some suburbs). Hey, it's close to Little Tokyo! That means I can go there often to buy magazines and maybe some other Arashi stuff!
So, onto my visit to the Kinokuniya in Costa Mesa.
I was really disappointed/mad. I checked the online stock list saying that they have the Arashi calendar available there. So I got my hopes up and was really happy that I finally get to buy it.
(yeah, I'm just a lot slower than everyone else.)
I first went to the magazine rack and saw a a bunch of them with Johnny's guys on the covers. Next to them were like 6+ (don't remember how many exactly) copies of Riida's Freestyle. I took one out of the rack and just stared at it for a long time. I didn't think of buying it cuz I wanted the calendar more, and I don't want my parents to think that I'm spending way too much fangirling. So, I hesitantly put the Freestyle book down...
I flipped through the magazines they have there to look at the Arashi pics.
I went to the CD section and saw the Aozora Pedal single and 5x5 best collection CD. Not long ago, I really wanted the 5x5 best collection CD b/c I really like the songs in it. I tried to find it online and in HK, but now I don't care much about the CD. Well, I have the songs in my iPod now anyways...I want the new Dream-A-Live album! I haven't ordered it yet, and just now when I checked online, it seems like Yesasia and CD Japan are already out of stock for the LE! (me: WHAT? NOOOO...)
Finally, I went to the counter where the Johnny's calendars were. I saw a NEWS one, a Tackey and Tsubasa one, a Kanjani8 one, a stack of Johnny's Jrs. ones. But where is the Arashi one???
I started freaking out...
I asked the person at the counter, and he said the Arashi calendar is SOLD OUT! Noooo!
I checked your stock list online and it says it's still available. You liar! I came all the way down here hoping to get an Arashi calendar and you don't have it!!!???
He told me that I could go to the Kinokuniya in downtown to see if they have any more left there.
That was when I felt really mad cuz I missed my chance of going there on the first day of my trip...

I was really sad...I slowly walked back to the magazine rack. I grabbed the April issue of Potato. I just had to buy it to cheer myself up a bit. I chose that one cuz I really the Arashi pics; they're really pretty. It's the one that I used for my Jun banner and I have the scans in my earlier post.
Oh, when I was at the magazine rack before I found the Johnny's calendars, I saw a little piece of paper taped on to it. It says something like 20% (or was it 15%) off if you subscribe to the magazines. I knew about subscription through my friend and she said something like $50 for a year. My dad was standing next to me and I asked if I could subscribe to one of the magazines (I'm still thinking which one to subscribe to.
I'm considering Wink Up cuz the pics they have are often slightly prettier than the other ones..but I don't really know. I need to do more research and look at more pics before I subscribe). The other thing that I don't know about and haven't asked anyone is that do I pick up the magazines at the store or do they do deliver? My guess is that I have to go pick them up. So, my dad said that once "things" have settled down, I can subscribe to one! Yay!
He was referring to my college decision, implying which Kinokuniya can I go to pick up the magazines. But actually no matter what college I go to, there's a one quite close to it.
If I stay in the SF Bay Area, there's one in SF Japan town and in San Jose (which is closest to my home right now, like maybe...15 mins drive there). If I go to LA, there's the one in Costa Mesa and in downtown (which will be the closest one to my future college, 5 miles away or 10 mins drive there). If I happen to end up in one of the colleges in NY, they have Kinokuniya there too!
Right now, I actually want the Dream-A-Live LE album the most, more than the calendar, Time con DVD, or magazine subscription. I'm planning on asking for one of these for my birthday present. I'll be 18 in in only 2 days!! I feel old...
Early
to me!
This got to be the post with the most emoticons used...
Jun was at SFO yesterday, transiting his flight from LA at SF, then back to Japan. (?)

Got this rumor from taki @ soompi forum. Her friend who works at SFO is so luck ne~ Getting the chance to escort celebrities at the airport...
I live like 30-40 mins away from SFO! Jun was just THAT far away from me...

Well, there's no concrete evidence or witnesses who saw that Jun was really there. It was just rumor...Plus, if he's transiting or connecting flights then fans can't really see him anyways. He'll be in the international terminal while us fans can only be outside...Unless you're so crazy that you've bought air tickets to get into the terminal, or even fly to Japan with Jun.
When I heard the rumor, I was just like, OMG! I could have been there. I was just unlucky...fate....why?
My friend, who turned into a Kame fan b/c of me indirectly, came back from NY that day. I wonder if she saw any commotion in the airport, but I doubt it...Now that she's into Japanese idols, it wouldn't be that hard for me to convert her to an Arashi fan.
Why did Jun fly back to Japan from SFO? Then, I learned that somebody said his flight from LA got canceled...
There are also rumors about Jun and the rest of F4 coming back to US for more filming at the end of the month? Maybe in (Little Tokyo in) LA or something? Or better yet SF Japan Town? Although it really doesn't have anything cool there....
How come these are all rumors? Aaaaargh! I wish the Hanadan movie is filmed in SF so I can go see them! *cries*
I found this here.
My result:

I was so happy that I found out the letter is from Sho-kun! (Of course I know that the letter is fake. But still...) A love letter from my ichiban! Kya~
I read the letter once and understand most of it. I'll try to translate it later, with my sucky Japanese skills...
Happy Chinese New Year!

People don't get a day off for Chinese New Year in the U.S. I wish I can go back to Hong Kong to celebrate it. I'd have so much fun shopping at the flower market in Victoria Park and getting red packets from relatives. Well, I did get red packets from them this year, but all the packets are the same, lol.
Here are some pics of the annual flower market in Victoria Park in Causeway Bay, HK, for the few days before Chinese New Year.
Credits to Hong Kong Hustle.com for the pics.
I really want to go to the flower market! Aaargh! It was so much fun shopping for little gadgets and flowers there, even though it was always crowded. I really missed it. T__T It was such a memorable childhood memory...

Ok, I like overusing kaoani's. Hehe. They're so cute.
Just to relate this to Arashi..lol, yes, I'm trying to relate everything to Arashi.
2 things that I want to do / places I want to go before I leave:
1. Go to an Arashi live concert!
2. Go to flower market in Victoria Park in HK during Chinese New Year again!
